It’s really important to continue taking a prescribed medication if this is something recommended by your doctor.

Whether or not the medication interrupts your fast, depends on the medication. Check with your doctor whether or not the medication can be taken on an empty stomach.. If the medication must be taken with food, have it in your eating window. If that's not possible, take it during your fasting window or ask your doctor if there are any alternatives you may be able to take..

Most dietary supplements should be taken with food so that they are better absorbed by the body and possible side effects are minimized. Therefore, it is better to take supplements during your eating window. Check the label to see if the supplement includes any sweeteners, fillers or protein because this may interrupt your fast.
