According to the manufacturer, zero and diet drinks contain no calories, however studies show that having them on a regular basis may interfere with our metabolism and autophagy (cell cleaning). Plus, artificial sweeteners could be bad for our health –  impacting our gut bacteria and how we use insulin.

For this reason, we recommend avoiding zero and diet drinks during the fasting window. Swap your diet soda for a refreshing and hydrating soda water with a slice of lemon or lime.
